Mandela Day Fun

July 18th is known worldwide as Nelson Mandela International Day, or simply Mandela Day. The overarching objective of Mandela Day is to inspire individuals to take action to help change the world for the better, and in doing so build a global movement for good. Ultimately it seeks to empower communities everywhere. “Take Action; Inspire Change; Make Every Day a Mandela Day.” In this spirit, I set off with Roche Products (Pty) Ltd to hand out food parcels at Uncedolwethu Children's Centre in Orange Farm. The name means 'place of hope' in Xhosa, and our arrival was met with brilliant smiles and lots of excitement. Who would have thought that the simple act of handing out food parcels could bring such joy to these little ones? Mission accomplished:
